Lotte Ventures Japan Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Takeaki Kokubu) hereby announces that it has executed an investment, through a third-party allotment of new shares, in Nippon Mirai Agriculture Inc. (Head Office: Naka District, Ibaraki Prefecture; Representative Director: Masaki Kuboi; hereinafter the “Nippon Mirai Agriculture Group”). The company vertically integrates high value-added agricultural products—including organic sweet potatoes—across production, processing, sales, branding, and export.
Founded with the strong commitment to “produce and process Japan’s proud agricultural products and their processed goods with quality as the top priority, delivering them to customers in Japan and around the world to contribute to their health and happiness,” the Nippon Mirai Agriculture Group operates approximately 50 hectares of company-owned farmland in Ibaraki Prefecture. There, it cultivates organic sweet potatoes, primarily the Beniharuka variety, and manufactures dried sweet potatoes at its own processing facilities. The group ranks among the largest producers in Japan of organic sweet potatoes and organic dried sweet potatoes.
Amid rising global health consciousness and expanding demand for high value-added agricultural products such as sweet potatoes, we believe the Nippon Mirai Agriculture Group holds strong potential to contribute to customers’ health and well-being both domestically and internationally.
